How to make international payments without credit card or Paypal from India using Entropay

Today we are going to learn about an awesome website called Entropay which provides Virtual Credit Cards (VCC) which can be used on any website online as long as you have balance in your Virtual Credit Card. Creating VCCs is a very easy when you use Entropay and it is safe also.

How to use Entropay?

The very first thing you will need to do is to sign-up for an entropay account which infact is very easy. You just have to provide some basic details like your name, e-mail address and stuff.

After that click on  Add new Card. After that you need to recharge your card and you can do so by clicking on Top-up button.

Things to notice:

You will be charged 4.95% when you top-up your VCC using your personal credit/debit card. Funds will be deposited immediately to your EntroPay card.

You will be charged 3.95% when you top-up your VCC by bank transfer or bank wire. Funds will be deposited within 2-5 business days.

Minimum funds you can add is $5 and maximum is $400. Just top-up your card and you will get a easy to use Virtual Credit Card. Also this is not a one-time card, you can use it as long as you have funds in it.

How to add/manage beneficiary in State Bank of India (SBI) using netbanking

SBI's online netbanking service provides facility to transfer funds instantly to any other SBI bank account using add beneficiary option. To use this service you will need to add the account of the person as your beneficiary whom you want to transfer money. Adding beneficiary option follows two steps- first one is to add the account details of the beneficiary that is name to which account is registered and bank account number. Second step includes approving the beneficiary by OTP (One Time Password) that you will receive on your mobile phone number registered with your account.

To add beneficiary first login to your SBI netbanking using your username and password. then click on Payments/Transfers Tab on the upper left side.



If you are transferring money to a account in SBI then click on Within SBI > Accounts of Others tab.

Now it will display list of beneficiaries already added with a link to add a new beneficiary as well. Ofcourse you will now find any beneficiaries if you are using this service first time. Now Click on the link Click here to add a new Intra-Bank Beneficiary on the right side.


Next step will need your profile password. Remember that this password is going to be different set by you after your logged in first time to your netbanking. Enter the profile password and this will take you to the page where you have to enter the name to which account is registered, account number and transfer limit.


Enter the details and click Submit.

After that you will receive OTP on your mobile phone. Click on the Approve tab, select the account details you just entered and enter the high security password received and enter the high security password. Beneficiary will be activated within 6-7 hours. You will receive a confirmation message on your phone. Now you can transfer money less than the transfer limit set by you.



You can modify and delete the beneficiary by clicking on the Modify and Delete tab.

As you already know Paypal is by far easiest way to make payments overseas and to receive payment from almost all the countries using just an e-mail address. Paypal offers its service in India too, but they are restricted according to Indian regulations. If you are new to Paypal the first thing you need to know is if you do not have a credit card then you can-not add funds to your account. That is if you need to send money to someone, you will need to add funds to your Paypal account and for that you will need a credit card. Debit cards and direct bank transfers do not work in India.

Note: According to some users Paypal accepts ICICI bank VISA debit cards, but I haven't tested it yet. If you already have a VISA debit card of ICICI bank then try it.

Some other methods to add funds in your Paypal account without credit card are:

  • Dena bank's debit card.
  • HDFC Bank's NetSafe Cards.

Okay here is step by step guide to use Paypal in India-

1. First you will need to sign-up which is very simple. Just fill the required fields provided and also do not forget to double check all the details. You will need to add you PAN (Permanent Account Number) during sign up process.

2. According to Indian regulations you will need to complete some tasks in order to activate your account.

2.1- To provide PAN number which will be verified by Paypal.
2.2- Confirm your e-mail address.
2.3- Add bank account - Paypal will make two small deposits to check your bank details are correct.
2.4- Provide purpose to use Paypal.

3. Adding bank details is very simple - You will need to add some basic details like your name on bank account, account number and IFSC code.

4. If you have a credit card then you can add your credit card by going My Account > Profile > Link/Edit credit card tab. It accepts VISA, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

This is all set. Now you are ready to make and receive payments from your newly made Paypal account.
